Donna Carmela is a romantic and eco-friendly boutique hotel originally built in the late 1800s and currently owned and operated by the Faro Family.  Located between Catania and Taormina with view of Mount Etna, the beautiful structure is surrounded by acres of of Sicilian gardens comprised of over 5,000 different plants.

The hotel has 29 rooms and suites. The Exclusive Suite features a private hydrotherapy pool and is located 300 meters from the main building in the heart of the lush gardens, offering the ultimate in privacy. The Sicilian Villa, a private historical structure, is located several meters from the main hotel and features views of the ocean and a private pool.

Donna Carmela’s in-house restaurant focuses on Sicilian cuisine made in a gourmet style. The extensive wine collection is located in a beautiful glass enclosed wine cellar.

The Faro Family also owns Radicepura, a beautiful event space set within the family's botanical garden and nursery. The family-owned Pietradolce Winery is located on the north face of Mount Etna; tours and tasting can be arranged.
